Due to the trust and time requirements that drive the contractors frequently rent the construction equipment that they occasionally use. Heavy equipment is also quite expensive due to industry inflation rates, necessitating recurrent purchases throughout the infrastructure developmental phases. Thus, even when all unnecessary heavy equipment is in fine, reusable condition, it nevertheless generates a lot of maintenance costs after use. To address this issue, a number of heavy equipment rental businesses have formed.

The cooperation of dealers, OEMs, and private spare part owners forms the foundation of an online heavy equipment rental marketplace. Vendors post their assets on the platform to get requests for rentals from building firms or individuals.

The customer visits the website of the equipment rental business and places a request for desired equipment to be rented along with the period of rental duration. This is followed by eSigning the agreement as per company guidelines. Post-completion of the formalities and making the rental payment and advance security, the customer can either collect the equipment from the store or can also get it delivered by the company depending upon the business norms and the location.

After the rental duration gets completed, the company either collects the equipment or the customer has to send it back to the company depending upon the terms of the vendor. If the equipment sent back to the company is found to be damaged, the company reserves the right to deduct the rental security for damage recovery.

Some companies also provide a product inspection period during which customers can check the equipment provided by the company and return it in case a defective product is delivered. In such cases, customers are either fully refunded or exchanged products are delivered again.
